A few years ago I resolved to become a professional visual artist. This was part of my decision not to teach full-time anymore. Healthwise, I'd had a bit of trouble with my heart, so I had decided that enough was enough. This time round I was going to do my own thing and work for myself.
Rightly or wrongly, I did not rush off to enrol in an Art course. I already had a few letters after my name, including a Masters Degree in Educational Studies, so I figured I could learn on the job, so to speak, while continuing to work part-time as a substitute teacher.
This blog is about my adventures so far in my efforts to emerge in this new career.
